For my co-op, I am closely working with Dr. Katrina Kranzer, a doctor from the London School of Infectious Disease, for the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation. Throughout the week, we travel all over Cape Town, South Africa testing people for HIV/AIDS. We are also screening people for TB as well as other hypertension diseases. When we find a patient that is diagnosed with HIV or TB, we put them on medication such as ARV. I have been doing some testing as well, and I am learning so much.
